Benny (Aidan Quinn) who works at the auto-repair shop has a younger sister, Joon (Mary Stuart Masterson), with a slight autism. He spends day and night in her care. The life only of them was marginal. One day, Joon took part in the poker with Benny's friends. One of them bet care of his strange cousin Sam (Johnny Depp). And Joon lost the game, and she and Benny began to live with Sam…I like this character better than any other Jonny Depp's. Sam is strange person that is reticence, and likes silent movies. And he is good at pantomime. He has a mysterious and tender force that other people don't have. Benny had thought he guards Joon but he had made a barrier to her without being aware. It was Sam that has broken that barrier. Joon opened her mind to Sam's love which is expressed by not word but mind and act. I think this movie is very sweet and tender story. Young Johnny Depp is so charming! I think that only he can play Sam. This movie showed that there are various forms of love. Watch this movie, feel heartfelt love.
